Now that you have joined Team NorCal, please take a moment to set up a fundraising page to help raise funds for Team NorCal. Everyone has the opportunity to utilize an on-line program to raise much needed team funds and we hope you’ll use it. Alternatively, if you would prefer, individual checks written to NKF (National Kidney Foundation) with “Transplant Games” written in the memo section can be send to:

The fundraising minimums detailed above can be satisfied by utilizing the on-line fundraising Web pages or by individual checks. Anything beyond the minimum requirements will be greatly appreciated by your fellow team members!
Here’s how you set up your Web page: Please visit the Web site www.kidneynca.org In order to fundraise, you need to click on "Member" tab then register as a free member for NKF. Continue to click on “My NKF”, you will create a personalized message on your own Web page and add personal photo(s) as an option. Then email your friends and family with your personalized fundraising page’s link to help the team go to Madison, WI in July 2010! To avoid confusion about where the funds are going, it’s important to include this statement in your personalized section:
“The funds raised
by team members will be used to offset costs for “official” team
members (recipient athletes and donor families) to a maximum of $1500 per person.
Any funds raised above that amount will be added to the “team funds”
to assist other team “official” team members with their expenses
for the Transplant Games.”
- Step 1: Go to http://www.kidneynca.org and click on “Become a member” on the left side of web page.
- Step 2: Fill in your personal information for the registration fields and select “basic registration” for a free membership.
- Step 3: Click on “MyNKF” on the left side of web page. Here you can customize your fundraising page.
- Step 4: Click on “Text” tab to add your own personal story and inspirations in the body copy section.
- Step 5: Click on “web address” tab to customize your own web page name, this is optional.
- Step 6: Click on “images” tab to add your own personal photo(s), this is optional.
- Step 7: Click on “Events” tab to add your event. Very important to click on “NFK U.S. Transplant games” under MyNKF column.
- Step 8: Click on “Template” tab to choose 3 different possible templates for your fundraiser web page.
- You’re done!
